He Walks!

The big news today is that Eric got out of his room and walked in the hall with PT! Both in the morning and afternoon. He was off the ventilator on a trach mask for about an hour and a half each time. The whole hospital seems to be abuzz about Eric's progress. He's always been an overachiever, and it's paying off now.
Trivia question . . . how many fish tanks are in Texas Children's Hospital? Surely someone must know. I'm going to guess about one hundred.

We've never met, but I have been praying with your family all along. Seeing Eric walking gives new meaning to the phrase "God is Good". What a special day this is!
Eric, you are a miracle and we give thanks to God for your wonderful fortitude. Bless you all.

It's so wonderful to see the photo of Eric walking. And what a great photo of fish! I've tried to take photos of our fish, but they always pout and turn away.

What a red letter day!! It is so good to see that Eric is improving to the extent that he can venture out into new territory. As exhausting as it may have been, he must be elated. What a strong will and faith in God. Thanks for the photos. Now we just need to get a little meat on those bones. I hope tomorrow is even better.
Indeed, God is good.
Love, bev

Praises again to our Lord. What a beautiful picture, brought tears to my eyes! God is so good and I pray that TCH is turned upside down by Eric and your family and it's display of faith in our great God. He has you there for a reason. Keep up the good work Eric!!!

Thank you, Lord, for this miracle! If God be for me, who can be against me. Way to go, Eric! Eric is definitely an achiever--one of the best students I have ever taught, and since I teach the best, that makes him the best of the best! What a blessing to see him up and around. He continues to be in my prayers and the prayers of my husband and church. Keep on keeping on, Eric!

Eric is so thin, but he looks so joyful just to be walking down a hallway. He is truly a miraculous young man. We all at Hiland continue to pray and to look forward to seeing him walk down the aisle of the church again laughing with Andrew & Matt the next time you visit Pittsburgh.
