In-House Hair Salon

Eric got a haircut today. He was overdue for a cut back in February when he got sick, so 10 weeks later, it was really too long. The above photos show his shampoo, cut, and the final product. Sorry the shots are a little dark and blurry. Maybe I needed to use the flash. Hmm . . . I'll have to have Bob or Eric show me how that works. Pittsburgh readers, note the Pirate shirt.
We also took a trip to CT scan this afternoon. That's his fourth CT in 10 weeks. The docs want to evaluate a bit of a hydro-pneumothorax in the right upper lobe. At most, he might get a "pigtail" (a smallish chest tube, not connected to suction, just a drain) or they may decide to see if it resolves itself, depending on what the CT shows.
Overall, a good day. Eric has had very little shortness of breath today. Neither of us slept well last night. Don't know about him, but for me, it was one of those nights where I couldn't find the switch to turn off the thoughts.

Wow! Eric, you look great. What a blessing to see what God is doing in you. Watching you improve day by day. It's been a blessing (and continues to be) praying for you and watching you recover. I believe that you will be better than you were before this happened to you. Stay determined, don't quit , trust God and you will recover completely! You are very special to God. Believe that! He loves you very much and is leading you thru this.
By the way, your hair cut looks great.

Is this condition also known as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome? Eric has come SO far and we look forward to hearing him preach again. There is such a gift inside him.

It is so exciting that you have had such a great week! I bet ya'll both really enjoyed going outside yesterday. Eric looks better in each photo that is posted - praise God! Try to get a good night's rest. I'm praying for good results from the CT Scan.

Steven's Johnson Syndrome has been brought up, several times, but most doctors say it doesn't really look like that because it didn't involve the skin or his mouth. But who knows for sure?

Great picture of Eric. Better watch out or he will find himself a girlfriend in PCU. He looks so good and appears to be feeling better. Prayers that the CT reveals only good things.

The sight of Eric looking relaxed and smiling brings me a smile, too. God no doubt is also reflecting Eric's radiance, knowing that He has a special plan for Eric's life. Eric's amazing spirit is an inspiration!!
Super haircut. Now rest and continue to gain strength. God's blessings to all.

Eric, you look as handsome as ever! What a coincidence that you had your Pirate shirt on since today was the annual Ross 5th grade field trip to PNC Park. You will be glad to know the Buccos beat the Florida Marlins
and a good time was had by all (even though it was 47 degrees and rainy!).
We continue to pray for you as you progress to a full recovery.

Be strong and trust the Lord.
